Ayomi Jayarathne is a research associate at School of Civil and Environmental Engineering – Queensland University of Technology (QUT) since 2018. She has been actively working with academics and researchers in Water and Environmental Engineering group at QUT, and engaged with several international and industrial collaborations including Shenzhen University – China, São Paulo State University – Brazil, the Desert Research Institute – USA, and Verterra Ecological Engineering – Australia. Her current research has a focus on: stormwater pollution; river health; and pollutant transformation. In view of her outstanding research performance, she has been awarded the Outstanding Doctoral Thesis Award, QUT in 2018.
