The Australia India Institute is dedicated to forging a stronger and more enduring relationship between Australia and India.
Established by the University of Melbourne in 2008, the Institute helps to shape Australia’s engagement with India through thought leadership delivered across three program areas: Security and Geopolitics, Bilateral Economy, and Cultural Diplomacy.
At the heart of our work is a commitment to strengthening the Australia-India relationship to position both countries to be more resilient to global challenges such as water security. In that spirit, the Institute and the AIWC are undertaking joint activities to promote research collaboration and knowledge exchange on water, environment and sustainability issues.
