Brief Introduction

National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK) is one of the Technical institutes established in 1960. It hosts nine disciplines of engineering, Management, physics and chemistry courses in undergraduate, post graduate and PhD degrees levels. It ranks top 20 institutes in India assessed by many agencies and purely funded by Government of India. There are more than 7500 students studying at various levels with more than 350 dedicated teaching faculties. The research at NITK is a kind of both independent and multidisciplinary partnership with other industries and universities or institutes. The institute is having state-of-the-art facilities including research incubation centres, centralised research facilities, upgraded laboratories, entertainment facilities etc and institute if situated on the shore of Arabian Sea at Mangalore.
