Dr. Sadashiva Murthy B.M., currently working as Professor & Head, in the Department of Environmental Engineering, SJCE, Mysore. Has received his BE in (Civil), M. Tech (Environmental Engineering) from SJCE, UoM, Mysore, PG Diploma in Environmental Planning from IDS, UoM and Ph.D. (Civil Engineering Sciences) from VTU, Belgaum. His areas of specialization are Solid and Hazardous Waste Management, Pollutant Transport, Ground Water Modelling, and Water Quality Monitoring. He is a member of various National level committees & Professional Bodies such as ASCE, IWA, IWWA, ISRS, IGS, IoV, RWF, WEF, ISTE, IAEM, IPHE, IEA, IPHE and ACCE (I).

Research Project

Principal Investigator for the research project on “A study on the transport of industrial volatile organic compounds (VOC) through different sub-soils and groundwater pollution”- UGC funded (10.14 lakhs). – completed

Co-investigator for the research project on “Treatment of Petroleum Refinery wastewater for the removal of resorcinol and catechol batch and continuous reactor and their kinetic studies”- UGC funded (10.5 lakhs)- completed.

Principal Investigator for the research project on NCAP-COALESCE (National Carbonaceous Aerosols Programme- Carbonaceous Aerosol Emissions, Source apportionment and Climate Impacts) Partner institute for field investigations for IIT Madras funded by MOEF & CC. (10.93 lakhs) ongoing.
