Smita Jauhari is a Professor in Applied Chemistry Department, and has over 19 years of  teaching and research experience. Her current research interest is in: Water Chemistry with focus on Quality of water and treatment of Industrial wastewater. Synthetic organic chemistry for  pharmacological application and corrosion. Synthesis of Polymer from renewable source of energy.   Her research accomplishment includes she has more than 43 publications in peer–reviewed international journal. She has authored three book chapters.. She has successfully supervised several PhD students. She has  successfully completed an externally funded project and has a patent to her credit.

  1. Project entitled ,” Development of model to predict the concentration of Radionuclides in Aquatic System at KAPS,-Board of Research in Nuclear Sciences(BRNS), DAE,(Co-investigator).    

Granted Patent Novel 6-Nitro-3-(4-oxo-thiazolidin-2- ylideneamino)-2-phenyl-3H-quinazolin-4-one and 5-benzylidine derivatives thereof” with Patent No. 33657  Application No. 149 MUM 2013 dated 17th January, 2013 on 08/5/2020.
